Jorge Alberto Lanza Ruiz is a Honduran coffee producer based in the Santa Barbara region. He transitioned into coffee farming after a career as an accountant and later served as the General Manager for the National Association of Coffee Growers of Honduras (ANACAFEH).

In 1990, Lanza purchased 30 acres of land in Quimistan, Santa Barbara, to establish his first farm, Finca El Amigo. He balanced coffee production with his accounting career for nine years before joining ANACAFEH in 1999, where he spent a decade traveling the country to provide technical and financial assistance to other producers. This experience inspired his personal goal to focus on the production of specialty coffee at his farm, La Huerta.
