Luis began working on his family's coffee farm at age 12, and by age 15, his father gifted him a small plot of land to cultivate his own coffee. Over the past 30 years, he has transformed this initial gift into a 40-hectare estate. His focus shifted from traditional Castillo and Colombia strains to a specialized pursuit of rare and exotic coffee varieties.
