Founded in 2004, Hinga Kawa Cooperative has 2,017 members, including 916 women, and owns two washing stations. Amavida says its members grow almost exclusively Red Bourbon at 1,700–2,100 meters.
A citric, structured washed coffee from the Hinga Kawa Cooperative, with notes of raisin, baking spices and red fruit.
Amavida documents this as the fully washed member of three Hinga Kawa process variants—washed, honey, and natural—and identifies it as Fair Trade and organic certified. The cooperative-level membership and farm-elevation figures remain distinct from the exact lot's published 1,600–2,200 meter range.
WHAT DID THEY ACTUALLY
DO TO THIS COFFEE?
Amavida identifies this release as the fully washed member of three Hinga Kawa variants: washed, honey, and natural.
Water is inherent in the disclosed fully washed process; no other processing input is documented.
Fruit, spices, flavorings, commercial yeast, or other inoculated cultures are not documented. Fermentation, drying, harvest, and exact brew details are also undisclosed.
The record keeps the washed release distinct from the cooperative’s honey and natural variants while treating Hinga Kawa as a producer group rather than a single farm.
Raisin, baking spices, red fruit, citric acidity, and a structured body.
