La Palestina

The story

La Palestina was established nearly 50 years ago by Don Juan Alarcón in 1978. It is currently managed by the third generation of the Alarcón Coronel family. The farm began as a small plot and expanded over time as the family purchased additional land to pass down to subsequent generations.

Challenges

The farm is located in a remote area of San José del Alto, which presents logistical difficulties for operations.

Innovations

The family utilizes a centralized wet mill where specific family members oversee fermentation and drying processes to ensure quality control across their various parcels.
